They should be in your -->

My Documents Folder -->
My Music Folder -->
iTunes Music Folder -->

what version of iTunes are you using? Make sure that is updated. I remember PC users having issues with iTunes using 7.0.1

PC current version is 7.0.2.16

It's nice to see someone trying to actually help instead of bitching about their problems...

Make sure that the files are on your HD first.
You could have just a corrupted iTunes database file. Reimporting the files from your HD into a new iTunes library should solve that problem.

But, isn't that the whole point of an internet forum?

Thanks, mike31c!

I'm using ver. 7.0.2.16.

Ok, following your instructions, I have found all my music, but I'm not sure how to restore it all to iTunes. I apologize for my computer "unsavvyness".

You should be able to drag the folder with all your music into the iTunes library window and dropping it there, or in iTunes select "Add Folder to Library..." in the file menu, and select the folder with all your music.

I'm actually still concerned as to why the iTunes database got corrupted in the first place...

In your iTunes program under "Devices" Left column. (when you plug in the iPod)
--> Summary Tab
--> Version Box
make sure the "Update" button is not in bold letters and it states "Your iPod is up to date"... If it does not, press the Update button.

Any real problems? Click the "Restore" button.

It might actually have real issues since the original database for the iTunes music got corrupted, and you imported the same songs over the corrupted database. Even though that is the only way to fix the problem you and many others have experienced (other then using 3rd party software)...

I mean other then uninstall iTunes, wipe the registry keys, delete ALL iTunes program folders and all it's data files and move all the iPod music/video/photo mp3's, m4v, m4p, and aac, jpeg (and anything else you stuffed into your ipod) files to a temp directory and then re-install iTunes and then re-import everything... That might take some time though.

BTW: Are you using multiple log-ins under Windows XP?

That's been bugging me as well. Seems weird that nothing else was affected, as far as I can tell anyhow.

I don't have an iPod, or any mp3 player for that matter. And I rub sticks together to make fire to cook my dinner.

Nope, no multiple log-ins.

Just a shot in the dark but do you have Limewire PRO installed?

One more thing: Don't Install MS Visa yet...

Apple to Windows iTunes users: Don't install Vista yet
