It might just be going. My PS2 is about 3 years old, maybe older. Every so often I see flashes of light inside. Always a good sign. Mine played Metal Gear Solid fine, but that was months ago. You can get brand new slim ones for $130, the older boxes are going pretty cheap used.

Ooo! That's another good one. I think I enjoyed taking pictures more than anything else in that game! I should see if I can hunt that game down somewhere.

For me it depended on what games I was trying, for example philosoma wouldnt work but all of my other games would. I believe it depeneded on the programming used in the game and the unit it was used on.

Some of the PS1 games were actually using programming for the PS2's metal gear VR missions for example.

Battlefeild 2: Modern Combat, and MGS3:subsistence are easily the two greatest online shooters for the system. The Socom series is up there too, but I never considered it greatness, simply because of the steep learning curve, and me never being able to do **** on there. BF2 and MGS3 should be quite easy to pick up n play. MGS3 can be a bit unforving, but after a few hours you should have it mastered (just stick to an XM177 and 1911 setup, and you should be fine).

I still play BF2 regularly. Should you get, add komodo117. Im a 2nd Leuteinent.

that reminds me. Fatal Frame is out for the ps2. That was a neat change in the normal horror games.

I enjoy platformers myself that no one has really said anything about like Jak and Daxster and Rachet and Clank.

Oh and you cant forget the guitar hero series.

If you're looking for something different, I also recommend Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. You'll probably have to do a bit of searching for Ico; it's out of production and is somewhat of a cult hit now. They are not for everyone, but I recommend them anyway.

Is that the game where you take pictures and you can get heart attacks and stuff?

lol dont know about heart attacks....

Its a great game really. slightly on the easy game as i beat fatal frame 2 without dieing. but its rather creepy with a great storyline.

basic you use a camera to keep track of clue, notes, and to hurt spirits. The ghost very greatly and look awsome.

It plays close to the silient hill series, which is also worth checking out if you like survival horror games
