Angry Problems with a Cd/DVD Drive.

I have a Dell XPS 400. It's hooked up to my T.V. with S-video cable and I have had no problems with clarity BUT I tried it last night and suddenly:

The drive won't even open. I go into My computer and it is recognized in that window. I have tried hitting eject from there and nothing has happened.

Anybody have any ideas?

both my cd drives are like this i normally have to put a small allen key in the pin hole that should be right near the eject button (some how my cd drives go to open but get hung up on something)

What if you press the button the face of the drive? The XPS case, IIRC, doesn't have any kind of bezel or cover over the optical drives, so I doubt it's physically getting stuck on something. It's also possible that the tray motor or some other internal component just failed. If it's still under warranty, call Dell. They have a separate support line for the XPS series, which is pretty sweet.
