I bought a Samsung SCH- i730 last week. Still learning all the features but love it so far. It runs Pocket PC 2003 v2. I chose not to upgrade to Mobile 5.0 due to multiple issues with the software. A Verizon Tech Support guy told me its not worth the hassle.

I checked the reviews on PDA phones @ CNET.com before I purchased. Helped alot.

The XV6700 is a great PDA phone for Verizon........I would wait though. The XV6800 (which is the newer upgraded version) is expected around March-April.

It has twice the memory, thinner, and makes use of EVDO Rev-A which is currently being deployed. If you are unfamiliar with the terminology, EVDO is Verizon's high speed data network protocol. Rev-A is the newest revision which is slightly faster than what is currently available.

Phonescoop.com is a good place to read up on mobile news. If you want to discuss Verizon phones, I recommend HowardForums.com.

Hope this helps.
