Converting Mpeg, WMA, ect...

Well, I finaly broke down a got my self a new mp3 player. Now, its not a great one im sure, but 4g for 60 bucks isnt to bad Im my book. Now, one of the selling features listed on the ebay site was that It could play movies. Only thing, they need to be in the AMV format. All the movies I have are in the mpeg and wma format, and Id like to switch them over to the needed amv. What i need to know is this, where can download a program that is easy to use, and will change the format of all my Movies and Videos to AMV? I use Windows media player if this helps anyone.

Im sure all of yall are sitting at your computers saying, "What a newb, he doenst know anything about nothing" lol, buy hey, I do need some help, so If you can help me out, I would be much abliged.

My 1st thought was, what the hell is AMV format? Apparently it's mostly used on Chinese players. Not to be gloomy but it doesn't sound like a very appealing format, but then again it's probably on a 1.5in screen right?

Anyway, I found this thread over at mymxplayer.org...

Hope it's useful.

Well, when I downloaded the newer version, it wouldnt let me set the screen to the larger version, which I have. Luckly, the player came with a cd with an older version of the program, and I was able to set it up right. Thanks alot rufus, saved me alot of headaches.

Oh yeah, the old 'cd that came with it'. I was going to ask about that but I just kinda figured you had already gone down that road.

You could try getting xilisoft Video Converter 3.1

It converts from most popular formats to most popular formats... Including native ipod, zune, divix, real, wma, avi, whatnot
