| Computers and audio question Hey guys, i was thining tonight and wondering if there are programs for your computer that let you equalize/adjust(add bass +treble) to the music playing through your sound card. Basically something like that little speaker on the start menu, with more options. I tried searching Download.com but im at a loss of what to search for exactly. Any help?

| I was looking for something that deals with all sounds, Like on a website or myspace ect. Basically what got me thinking on the idea was how my car stereo I can mess with it however I want and then I was on myspace and I heard this song and was thinking"This could sound better with some bass". I used to have winamp back in the windows 98 days, iirc its just a media player and the Eq wont effect online sounds ect.

| Supernatural Anaesthetist | A lot of sound cards (the name-brand ones, anyway, like Creative, etc) come with some kind of software that gives you more control. If you didn't get a disk, you can often download it from their site. Heck, most motherboards that have built-in audio have something like this as well. Also, some OEMs still include some custom apps that let you fine-tune the audio to your liking. I'm not familiar with any 3rd party utilities that allow this type of customization, though. Another good option might be to run the audio out from your computer into a stereo or receiver. The neighbors across the street have a PC set up in their garage (they have 4 teenage sons who seem to have 2.5 cars each - yes, each has two more or less complete cars and another half of a car, almost literally) like this. They usually have some pretty decent music (Led Zepplin, VH, etc) cranked up, but there was one night that their dad was in there and he was blaring "I Wanna Know What Love Is" loud enough for the whole neighborhood. We also kept hearing this odd but somewhat familiar "blooop" noise. Using the 12x zoom on my camera, I investigated and saw that he was playing Snood. And playing it badly, I might add. |

| I mean I have a built in sound card, I know that, but I still cant seem to find any advance options for it. It has drivers and all that, but Im not seeing any software witht these options. Maybeim blind though, dunno.
