| MCB Member | Need help finding a little piece of hardware Hi there. Keeping it short. In class. I must tap your collective geekish wisdom once more. A wired USB reciever for my wireless keyboard and mouse isn't cutting it any more. I would like to find a PCI bus mounted card that acts as a reciever for a wireless keyboard and mouse. I want to keep everything internal to my machine. I've already gone from USB wireless network antenna to a PCI wireless card, and this is the next logical step. Quick setup/teardown for LAN parties is needed, since (FINALLY), they are happening more often in my life After this, next step is to bolt my LCD to the side of my case. I'm so grateful for standard VESA wall mount holes and a drill press. Thank you.

| MCB Member | Oops. I think I figured a way around this. Some PCI USB hubs have four ports out back PLUS one *internal* usb port. Figure I get a wireless reciever for keyboards & mice that's the size of a jump drive, stick it in the internal usb port, and POOF.

| Hmmm, The only way I can think of is if you used a bluetooth mouse and had an internal bluetooth adapter. Some motherboards have this. Here's a PCI wireless card that has bluetooth built in: http://www.msi.com.tw/program/produc...il.php?UID=608 Actually, If you have an extra USB header on your motherboard you could mount the USB ports inside your case and mount the USB receiver inside there as well. This would be depended on the transmission strength being sufficient. -MR |

| I would do the internal USB thing, mount the receiver in the front bezel or even in a drive bay. if you are a true modder, then ditch the plastic casing on the receivers and mount the boards inside the front of the case, and do a good job of wire routing.
