| Laptop locks Friend of mine was looking into laptop locks, and wanted to buy a kensington lock, but I have seen those things picked five ways form sunday with no effort or time. He basically wants something he can step away from his machine in lab and feel secure about it. Any suggestions?

| Yeah, what Chad said...locks only keep honest people honest. True about the "low hanging fruit" theory, in which they move on...but if it's a high-end or desireable model, consider it gone. There are Lo-jack type units for laptops now, however. I've seen them work pretty well with cars...might be interesting to see how they work with laptops.
