TOG can be fun, but it's really best in groups on city maps; where you can have multiple TOGs holding a line. They have the HP of tier 8 tanks, so unless the enemy team is teeming with KV-2's and/or arty, TOGs can sortof afford to take more hits.

And my TOG has a superheavy spall liner. It drives arty players mad when they do only double digits of damage for a direct hit...

I love playing my TOG! in open fields with a couple of good TDs as backup, you can end up as a pretty formidable opponent. Of course, it takes you about 4 hours to cross most maps.... but what the heck! Lol!

So.... I've been on the test server looking at 8.11.

So far, I'm amazed, there are NO NEW TANKS. All that has happened is major reworking (or removal) of some of the most hated maps.

Port is either getting removed or is staying removed (I don't remember if it was already pulled.)

Redshire is getting a major revamp! I played it and it actually seems balanced now. Most of the camp spots on the hills have been made less campy, and there is more cover through the "killzones" that are the open fields on the south side.

Ruinberg is staying the same, but they're adding an alternative version with burning buildings and rain. It looks cool.

Himmelsdorf is staying the same as well, but they're adding a winter version of it.

I think Northwest is getting changed as well, but I don't remember what they're doing to it. (hopefully nuking the place flat.)

And there's one new winter city map. It looks really cool, although there are some very narrow bridges that are easy to fail on and drown.

To my knowledge, that's all that's changing in the actual maps/battles.

In the garage interface, there's now an option to remove, retrain, and replace entire crews on vehicles. It seems like it should be a time saver when switching crews between vehicles.

This is one patch I'm actually rather looking forward to

AKA Fan
I'm getting a little tired of hearing people in game complain about a certain class being OP. Last year it was arty. In the weeks leading up to the arty nerf patch, players taunted arty about how they were going to get their due. Now I hear those same players complain when arty can't support them. Nevermind that the reason they can't support is because their reload and accuracy have been nerfed so hard that they litterally get one shot to help a teammate out.

Now I'm seeing the exact same thing with TD's. Can't people see that once TD's get nerfed the next target will likely be heavies? I understand the frustration. I hate having my IS-8 sent back to the garage by one shot from a 183 deathstar that I never saw but, hey, thems the breaks right?

I just don't want everything nerfed into the same boring tank that just looks slightly different from the next boring tank. So specific tanks could use a tweak here and there but across the board class nerfs don't seem to be the way to go IMO.

It seems like wargaming goes through a cycle:
1. Add X new vehicle that is super powerful in some area.
2. Wait until all the wallet warriors use gold to free xp their way into said vehicles.
3. Once enough people rage at that particular vehicle, nerf it to death and add a new super OP vehicle so the cycle can repeat.

In reference to the upcoming tank destroyer nerfs, I think I'll let Quickybaby explain things:

8.11 Tank Destroyer nerfs

While I'm sick of getting fast-nuked by the Foch 155, I'm not sure that the armor nerf AND the damage nerf were necessary. one or the other would have been reasonable.
