Just unlocked the T25 and T-54 last night. Now I have to decide if I want to lose the turreted TD or just keep having fun with my M36 and M18.

I, for one, do not have the skills to truly enjoy a turretless TD. I require the "crutch" of a turret. Thus, I play only American TD's (tho I loved my Marder) and have been rocking my M8A1 and M18. What fun tanks! Speedy little buggers and tiny, made of tissue box cardboard but hauling a decent punch for their tiers. I have the next one (T49) researched, but have not bought it. Not terribly interested in higher tier MM TD play. In recent months, I forced my way into tier IX tanks... by sheer attrition and regular application of gold to convert XP, only to discover that I am nowhere NEAR talented enough to be competitive at this level, at least in random pub battles. Its funny how games like these draw you ever forward with the illusion of "progress". The upside, now that I have seen how deadly painful and expensive tier IX tanks are to run, I see the expenditures associated with formerly dreaded tier VII as "easy mode". Go figure So, now that my premium account has expired, yet again, I have simply placed all of my upper tier tanks in reserve. Pershing, Patton, Panther II, KT, E75, IS-3, 4 & 8 all gathering dust while I play my premium tanks and lower tier numbers. Even with five million credits stashed, it is just too annoying to drive tanks that cost 20-25K to repair and 1k+ to feed with shells, tanks that lose can lose 10k on a win! Only tanks I am "grinding" anymore are a T29 (just bought during 1/2 price special, working on that biggest engine) and my Hummel, which is about halfway to the next tank up, the GW Panther, which I doubt I will even buy. I am finally, it seems, to a place where I am mostly just playing for amusement... no sense of mission or desperation to feed the grind. I have a bunch of fun tanks in tier 2-6 that I play regularly. I win about half the time. More when I platoon with my clan mates. The big tanks can sit there, with their superb crews, waiting for me to decide I need a spanking Last edited by Drum; 05-16-2012 at 03:36 PM. |

Yeah I really gave up on the higher tanks, because its just not fun up there. KV3 is high enough for me.

I've almost elited all of tier 3 on my account. Almost all of the Russian tree is elited as well. Atleast up to 7 other then a few modules and the t-50-2. I don't mind the hi-tiers and I'd really like to get the entire trees of all the nations elited. I will say it's a pain to grind away at the lower tiers in order to have the credits for everything else. I may end up buying a t-59 or a premium soon. I have yet to buy a single premium day etc. |

Well, the Type 59's are out of the store again. So, you'll have to hit one of the others. Of course, the tier 8 premiums rake in the most credits, a lot of the tier 5 premiums are nothing to sneeze at and make good, steady income, but less than the 8's. Rumor has it there will be a new Super Pershing tier 8 premium... sounds great. I have all of my tier V premiums filled up with my tier IX crews, so even tho I have retired their tanks for the time being, at least these boys aren't lying around, getting fat. |

Not as nimble as the Hummel, but still fairly fast for an arty, best gun sweep of all the higher tier arties, and good accuracy (I even got a sniper medal on it once). If you have the cr to buy one, you should give it a try. I too thought that I would keep my Hummel after I researched the GWP, but after playing it for a few games I was sold on the newer model.
