World of Tanks...anyone else playing? - Page 80

Been playing my VK2801 a ton, love it with the new physics. One thing I've really noticed is how often with the newest MM I get pulled into matches where I'm up against tier 8/9/10.

This is pretty fun, especially with the speed advantage of the 2801, but one thing that stands out is the 'Fail Team' effect.

Essentially, if my team fails there is little I can do to to turn the tide...where in some lower tier battles I can play poorly and still have the team win...not so much with the Tier 5 scout.

Still running 54% with it though.

Last night, I destroyed the golden tank!!

It came hauling butt over to our team like a loon, and a teamate got one shot on him and then the tank passed in front of my barrel at the wrong time :P

Needless to say- I got 500 gold. What'd I do with it? Converted nearly all of my experience to free experience :P Finished the tree for my Tier III American Medium tank (T2M2?), and made a pretty big dent in my Hetzer's tank tree.

It made my WoT night in any case.

Yeah, some clan is playing with golden tanks and if you kill one you get 500 gold.

WGNA = Wargaming North America. It is not "some clan".

It is a event they are running during the weekend for the Golden Joystick event.

if you kill the golden tank and send them the screenshot of the kill display (friendly fire does not count). You get 500 gold.

I didn't know about the screenshot part, glad I never saw a golden tank. At least never on the other team.

I did have to screenshot my bliss tonight.
