Arrow Biking 454 miles w/ 21,406 ft of climb ; Anyone Interested?

Its just a month away!

Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa

RAGBRAI 2011

Its pretty simple really...
step 1, dip tire in Missouri River
step 2, ride bike across state
step 3, dip tire in Mississippi

It turns out my wife won't be able to bike this year, so I've got an extra week long rider pass to off load. If anyone is interested in it, feel free to toss me a PM.

If anyone's already planning to ride it, or ridden in the past, please post up. How many have you ridden before?
This will be my second.

Finished,

boy did that suck on the knees

Stupid me, I donated blood at work Thursday before, not thinking I might need that pint on Sunday for the start of the ride. Mid day Sunday I had to sag it in to the last town from just past the half way mark.

Didn't get sun burnt till the last day.
Lost my camera somewhere around Grinnell, hope it turns up at the house we stayed at.

I definitely need a better bike. My Raleigh C40 is a tank, but it weighs about 3 times as much as some of the touring bikes that my friends had.

High points were the food. Awesome pork chops, pie, ribeye samiches, corn on the cob, hot beef sundaes, more pie, great stuff.
Got a shot of Templeton Rye in Templeton.
Got to ride an electronic bull, visited water parks in a couple towns.

Congrats! I rode on Ragbrai 30. It was an amazing time I really want to get out there and do it again. Slightly harder now that I am in NC. But the food was amazing, you got me thinking of the pork chops again . Will make it out there before I lose motivation .
