Kafka's Calisthenics

My Wife and I have been doing this for 3 weeks now to try and get back into the swing of exercising and we're enjoying it. I thought I'd share.

Franz Kafka, J.P. Müller: The exercise system that swept Europe in the early 1900s. (VIDEO) - By Sarah Wildman - Slate Magazine

we like it so far and I'm noticing improvements in my stomach size and strength in my trunk. My Wife isn't noticing any size or weight difference yet, but she says her energy level is much improved.

My ultimate goal is to learn this; relearn Tai Chi, and mix both of those up with Shovelglove throughout the week.

Here are some more resources for anyone interested.

Hmm. I did calisthenics a lot when I was in high school for hockey. What she says about finding time with kids is very true. Might have to research a little more and try it out and maybe alternate kettlebells with this.

I find resources on these exercises are hard to come by. I'd love some videos to show me I'm doing them correctly. I even wrote to the author of the article to see where she dug up the original footage of Muller.

I did find this old pic of a chart of his exercises which I ended up printing out just for a visual reference.

I did a little more searching today and found this: JP MULLER 15 minute full body workout and exercises, how to video MY SYSTEM | The original 15-minute workout by JP Muller "My System"
Looks like maybe someone is going to capitalise on Muller's System.
