well, the time is almost upon us. system requirements have been released, and almost made me cry...

Minimum

OS: Vista Service Pack 2 32-bit

Processor: 2GHZ Dual Core (Core 2 Duo 2.4GHZ or Athlon x2 2.7GHZ)

Memory: 2GB RAM

Hard drive: 20GB

Graphics card AMD: DirextX 10.1 compatible with 512MB RAM (ATI Radion 3000, 4000, 5000 or 6000 series, with ATI Radion 3870 or higher performance)

Graphics card Nvidia: DirectX 10.0 compatible with 512MB RAM (Nvidia GeForce 8, 9, 200, 300, 400 or 500 series with Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT or higher performance)

Sound card: DirectX compatible

Recommended

OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Processor: Quad Core CPU

Memory: 4GB RAM

Hard drive: 20GB

Graphics card: DirectX 11 compatible with 1024MB RAM (Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon 6950)

and before someone crys about no xp support, its because the game itself doesnt support DX9, only 10 and 11.

im a little pissed because i bought my 460 JUST for this game, looks like ill have to SLI.

I almost make the recommended requirements. I guess it's a good thing I've been thinking about upgrading. I really wanted this, but I don't really care for FPS anymore.

I'm interested in seeing how the weapon attachments/upgrades/etc work. There is something to be said about the simplicity of BC2's specialization system. How will it be affected with the number of otions they are claiming to bring to the table?

NO DAMMIT NOOOO!!!!!! I was going to get this game on PC only because I LOVED Bad Company 2 on the PC.... I don't wanna play with CoD die-hards that complain because they are 12 and wimpy..... Ack!

While the simplicity of consoles is nice, the performance, graphics, etc can't compare to a good PC. I think PC supports up to 64 players while console is limited to 24.

BTW, I am getting this for PS3. Each system has benefits and disadvantages and there is no clear-cut better one for everyone (else this entire console vs PC debate would be dead long ago).

As Kindred said, let's just make this about the game and not the differences between platforms.

Sweet. I am getting this too for PS3. I am stoked. I havent played this franchise since the many Battlefield 1940s and Modern Combat mods on PC during my college years. It has been too too long!
