Yeah, I want to see how the SP wraps up. If it only takes 8 hours, that's ok. It'll be 8 very enjoyable hours, with perhaps one or two exceptional moments.

I doubt the MP will be able to stand up to BF3, but you never know.

I'll get it from Redbox for $2 and enjoy the SP and see how the story wraps up.

That is gone now. You encounter an enemy and either you or he is dead in 3 seconds, and usually without a shot fired because of those bull**** weak copout one-hit melee kills that should never have been introduced to a proper shooter game. In my day melee weapons were f*cking useless and they should have stayed that way.
This, a million times.

Besides everything mentioned, when you reduce the length of engagements to mere milliseconds, network latency--even ideal 60ms network latency--suddenly becomes a big deciding factor. There appears to be no rhyme or reason to when you win or lose a head-on confrontation, just dumb luck.

This. I can't wait to find out what happens. And I don't understand the hate on the single player. I had a massively good time on MW2. Getting punched in the face by Price was one of my most exciting gaming moments ever.

Go back to Halo then.

I prefer Hardcore mode, it's so much better. When I have the drop on someone, 3 rounds COM aught to stop them... not allow them to spin around and noob tube me.

I hated the shotguns in COD. They've never done them right. Shotguns shoot lead, which can be dangerous at a distance. Shotguns do not shoot confetti which disperses in a spray 5 feet from the muzzle.

I blame Halo 2 for changing all FPS shotguns from buckshot to what seems like breaching rounds.

But besides that, "Go back to Halo" is kind of missing the point. MW2 is too fast paced for netplay, plain and simple.

This x1000.

I don't mind that the SP is only eight hours because that's all the time they need to tell that story. I'd rather have that than a thirty hour long SP that just drags on an and on with the same major story points.

I just pre ordered a copy of this, looking forward to checking it out. The Blakc Ops SP Campaign didnt take very long to beat, i hope this next one is a little longer. I agree about the shotgun rounds, its like they are loaded with birdshot rather than 00, i wish you could choose rounds for them like slugs or shot. The incindiary (sp) rounds in the Black Ops SP campaign were killer, that would have been neat to have that with say 2-3 rounds as a secondary weapon attachment for the shotguns or something. The shotguns also needed more attachments, there is a slew of them for the other weapons in BO, but the shotguns have almost nothing or nothing (i want an olympia w/ a flamethrower)
