| Sunstar Paramedics Slave | I was wondering too about battery life. No video able to record? How stupid was that to leave out? Not being able to copy or paste anything too.. Good job Apple. Sales will continue to shoot threw the roof with these, but in the coming months, I look forward to seeing all of the disapointment this device will bring its users. T

The camera is par for the course but the iphone can't record video. I paid 67 dollars for my phone with a 4gb memory stick. I could pay 500 dollars for an iphone. Better net and a longer battery doesn't seem to be worth over four hundred bucks. |

I was listening to Leo Laporte - The Tech Guy , on the radio and a lady called in some interesting info about the Apple "piephone" . 1) 90 day warranty thru Apple only. 2) AT&T doesnt offer insurance on the phone. 3) Apples extended warranty wont be available for the phone for 3 weeks I think I'll just stick with my Dash ! ![]() EDIT: Meizu's M8? | MCB Member | I don't know about the life, but it can't be changed easily...i.e. by you or me. So, if you go on a long trip and you want to bring two batteries along so you can swap them out you're out of luck. And if it dies, then you have to wait a few days to get your phone back. Anand Tech took one apart. Here's a link if you care... Linky Linky

| MCB Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Woodinville, WA (near Seattle) | I was using the Dash (or Excaliber - the HTC model name) until I just switched to a Touch to check it out. I liked it quite a bit. I had one of my guys pick up an iPhone so we could do a competitive analysis so it will be interesting to compare them. I work for Microsoft, but I am delighted that Apple brought out the iPhone with all the press attention. They have some cool innovation in the phone but it appears to have enough weaknesses that most people will not be satisfied. The attention the public is giving to the iPhone will raise the available market for all smart phones. The good things that they did will also raise the bar for MS and our OEM partners so consumers will be the winner. Thanks Steve! Quote:

| MCB Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Wisconsin | I never buy version 1.0 of anything involving computers or technology, at least not for a year or two. I simply don't like paying big dollars for being a beta test dummy. All those standing in line should just tape "moron" to thier foreheads. That goes for PS3, Wii, tickle me Elmo, or what have you. It's a foolish attitude, "I have to have it now!!!" Idiots.. |
