Do any of you have a good AVI to MPEG converter?

Hopefully one that doesn't leave it's own annoying watermark on each frame of my beloved anime?

I'm trying to convert for the smaller file size. Want a 2gig show (Grenadier) to fit onto a 1.4G mini dvd.

Thanks if you can refer me to one!

If you want some real help, check out VideoHelp.com It is an amazing site with all the info and programs you could use for ripping, converting, and anything else you wanna do to a video.

It was really helpful when I used to be into all this.

Edit:

I did a quick server of articles and programs that convert AVI to something:
Big link, click here

I use a very nice program to convert .AVI files to smaller iPod Mpeg4 files...it's a free video converter by Jodix called; Jodix Free iPod Video Converter. You can get it from C|Net's download site Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com.

Also, if you have Nero Ultimate Edition ther are ways to do it too.

Super Converter.
Its on that VideoHelp.com site mentioned above.

The interface is kludgy, but it can convert ANYTHING into ANYTHING. Free, and no watermarks, though rather hard to find the downloadable on the website.
