How do they catch that?

Isn't the device just dialing like it normally does?

Basically he had a service that he was paying for to have unlimited usage of his phone as a modem. BUT... he forgot to change the sim card on his phone over to the proper one. That's why he accumulated all those charges.

Supposedly, the charges might be dismissed, but he's waiting to hear back from cingular about that.

With Cingular/AT&T I have the unlimited data plan for the phone. I logged into my account and it showed that I've used 101 Megabytes in this cycle with no additional charge to my account. Whew!
