Tribes: Ascend

So yesterday I discovered that Tribes: Ascend is a thing and applied to be in the beta....I found out this morning that I'm in. So far it's like Vengence with the skiing and stuff and I'm loving it. But then again I've leved every installment of the game since Starseige tribes the original.

Any other old school Starsiege Tribes lovers out there?

Ive had the beta downloaded and ready to go for acouple days but havent logged in yet.

Alot of my friends are playing it. Looking forward to giving it a try when I get some time.

I didn't get any beta invitation and I signed up. I love Tribes (started with Tribes 2), but I need to see some reviews on this first or play a totally open beta. I heard there is a class system now and I hope it isn't too much like CoD in that sense. I really liked the formula for Tribes 2 and its "classes."

Meltdown 2 was the greatest mod for Tribes 2 ever. I can't wait for this to get released.

Lo and behold, I checked my email late last night and had a beta key in there.

I stayed up until like 4am playing this game... it's so good. Seriously the most interesting shooter I have ever played. Tribes 2 was good for it's time, but it's a bit dated now. It's good to see the formula is nearly identical with some modernization implemented. I like how the classes work this time around.

Really wish the "perk" trend in games would just die, and the XP/Token system is a bit confusing as first. This game is good though... I hope the full version has more game modes, though. Rabbit is cool.

I haven't played Tribes since the 90's it seems like, it's been five or six years at least. It was great back in the day when thee wasn't as much competition. If requirements are low, I'll give it a go.

I've been playing for about a month or so and it is very good. The last patch kinda made it feel like it has that old tribes set up. It is very fast and very fun game!
