you might have a bit of a tough time with that sparky. Before when netbooks where just getting off the ground finding an 8.9 incher with a 60-80GB HD wasn't a problem now the market is moving towards 10.1-11.6 inch machines. I think you might be SOL unless yo buy used or spend a fortune. Personally if money is no object look at a Fujitsu lifeboox they can go down to as small as 5 inches and still be a fully functional computer

Do you mean "10.1 inch or smaller" or actually "less than 10.1 inch" screen? 10.1" are usually 1024x600 resolution screens; much less than that and they are extremely difficult to "do" anything with. I have a netbook at home (EeePC 1000HE) and prior to that I had the EeePC 701 and 900 models. I won't go back to the lower res screens; I'd rather just use an iPhone or tablet at that point. |

I have an ASUS Eee PC 901, writing on it currently actually. The screen can be a little annoying, but honestly the 8.9 inch display at 1024x600 really isn't that bad. The only problems I have with it are when developers do something stupid, like lock the minimum vertical height of popups, for no good reason. Often an issue found on setup dialogues and the like. But yeah, the 10 inch netbook seems to be here to stay sadly. I really wanted another 8.9 screen, but I'll settle for the larger screens I think. |
