Official GoPro Hero/Hero2 thread.

Alright guys, I know A LOT of you have GoPros, and I think it would be cool if we could put all of our mounting tips, editing tips, filming tips, and all that other stuff in here.

This doesn't have to be a video thread(because obviously we have a paintball video thread already), but we could make this the spot where we put all the GoPro videos that aren't necessarily Paintball related.

Alright, so, I know a lot of guys don't like to run the camera on their mask, because if you use a hopper, it's VERY in the way. A lot of guys use the handle-bar mount to hang it on their barrel, but for me that just didn't work.

With the way I aim, the mount itself was very in the way. I decided to get the handle-bar mount, anyways, and I have decided to mount mine like this:

Now, I used a revvy because it's a TALL hopper. I could put the GoPro on there as comfortably as possible, and still have it able to face upward enough.

Here it is a little closer:

Now, I don't know how well this would fit with say, a Dye Rotor, or a Halo, but it would work well with a pocket hopper.

This is the view you get:

I think it's a pretty good solution to the barrel mount, at least for me, because I can aim properly.

In addition, I do something similar on my Kingman Hammer, which is officially dubbed "The Hammer Cam"

Mounting that on the feed neck is a rather cool idea.

i just use the headstrap.. it gets the job done, but i only use it when im playing with friends, cause it does stick off your head a lil bit, which makes it a magnet for getting shot

That is how I run mine on my T2. With a Winchester it fits perfectly and give a great clear FOV.

I hate it, but I just have to use the handlebar mount on my barrel. I can't think of one thing that is always faced toward the target except your head. I'm working on a back-mount right now. I think it will essentially be a shoulder harness with a GoPro on the end of a pole that looks over my shoulder.

Although it may not be actual hockey, I think this camera would be great for hockey footage. The lighting in arenas is fantastic:

i have mine ziptied to the top of my flex
works ok....

rotor is in the way for a solid 50% of the videos...

i mounted it to the top of my hopper at supergame, you could hear the paint shake, but video was good

i mounted it to the tip of my barrel (12" on my t2) it was too close to my hands
(it was also dark so the quality was brutal, and you couldnt see the shots or hear anything)

i wanna make a mount for the front of my feedneck, but less jerryrigged (no offense buddy! haha)

all my videos are on youtube.com/superstanchycustoms

I put a second strap on my flex, and I took out just the frame today and got this:

get a spare flex and see if you can aim it down into the mask with a mirror at an angle in front of the lens. that way you can see out with a low profile camera
