well it depends on if it's on an MXM or if it's soldered on to the board. if it's an MXM I'd expect to spend $200 or so depending on what card it is. If it's soldered to the board you're looking whole motherboard replacement which could be very costly.

Thanks, so it's either I can afford it or can't. Awesome.

So one more question, the one in question is way past any warranty. Still worth it to go genius bar? Or just go to a local pc/Mac/game console repair place?

Always bring your Apple gear in to the Apple store, if you have one locally. In my experience, they will usually try to find a way to help you.
