Digital "Holga"

The idea of Lomography (they made this word up?), or using a cheap old camera to get interesting accidental effects intrigues me. I would like to try it, but I'd rather use digital. I saw that they do make Holga lens kits for digital DSLR's now, but I believe the effect isn't the same.

Well, low and behold I finally decided to download the pictures from my daughter's camera (she is 9) that my father got her, oh, say 5 years ago. She had recently been doing some "Good luck Charlie" style videos for her baby cousin using the camera, so I figured it was time to learn to use iMovie. First, I was surprised to find almost 900 pictures on her 512k memory card (come to think of it, much of this may have been the video somehow? I don't remember seeing THAT many photos in iPhoto), some of which came out with quite interesting results! I will try to post some in the next few days.

This is her camera: http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Concep.../dp/B000FBNXH6

unfortunately, it looks like the video has no sound, or I haven't figured out how to hear it yet.

I think I might borrow her camera to try some street photography though.

Yeah, I saw that. I'm still considering buying one, but I believe I read the effect(s) isn't quite the same as you get with an actual Holga film camera.
