^ I'd love to do something like that, but as I only have an apartment, I'm pretty sure if I built that in my bedroom my gf may take issue with it lmao...

If you do that. Look at kirkey racing seats and use one of those as the seat for it. Their cheaper ones are very cheap And with a bit of extra padding shoved in the correct spots, very comfortable even for hours at a time. You wont be fidgeting in this seat.

For racing seats, those are cheap ($137 is cheap for ANYTHING in a race car), but for $20 and a little luck at the local Pick 'n' Pull you can snag yourself something leather upholstered with plenty of give in the cushions still. And they come with the mounting and adjustment hardware, too. If you want the authentic racing car feel and look, though, yeah, I'd go for a Kirkey. Can't remember what page of that forum thread it was on, but one of the guys built a full "roll cage" out of PVC pipe to make it feel more realistic for himself.

Yeah the kirkey, IMO, will give you more of that MW feel too a bunch more like a mech seat than some random car seat. And holy crap, the closest pick n pull to me is like 150 for a cloth seat and 200 for leather, even more if they're electric.

$150 to $200?! Damn, I'm sorry, it has been a while since I've gone junkyard diving for parts.

Found someone making a 'mech cockpit from an exercise bike. I don't think the seat looks all that comfy, but at least the bike provides not only the seat but also support structure for the rest to bolt onto.

Edit: Okay, this one is nuts:

Open Beta will finally come on Monday. Make sure your graphics cards can handle it. Runs on the same engine as Farcry 3 so that's a good test if you have it.

I`d say you have to worry more about the processor. It has gotten better, but I still have some trouble getting decent FPS. Cryengine isn`t very efficient with processing power.

Other than that, I think it's ready for the open beta.

And by the way, the Yen-Lo-Wang sucks. The 2 ballistics hard points on the arm are way too easy to lose with those shoulders as prominent as they are on the centurion and you only have 2 energy hardpoints in the center torso for backup.

And the Cicada is relatively easy to take out if they make the mistake of standing put. HUGE cockpit hitbox right on the nose.

I still enjoy the Glass cannons, such as AC20 Raven. 6 SL Jenner is nice, but I seem to have wasted 10 mil on the Jenner K, the armor isn't worth all that repair cost.

I haven't tried the Cicada yet, but are the 5 tons really worth going against a hunch or cent?

And how were you running the Yen? Would dual AC5's be effective?
