| Deluxe super psychedelic | ummmm strange lightroom incident.....
so on valentines day we had some people over and my wife dressed up. during the jenga game I grabbed my camera and shot a few at about ISO 3200 wide open at f1.4 and got a really nice one of my wife on the couch. brought it into photoshop tonite to fix up and used the luminescence silder to take out the grain but there is a portion of the photo that needed dodging to separate her head from the dark background. problem is when I use the adjustment brush set to "dodge" the grain comes back in the whole photo for seemingly no reason. do I have something set wrong?

| Deluxe super psychedelic | stranger still....
it only appears to be taking place in the develop module. when I switch to library it appears the the luminescence effect took, but if I switch back to develop it still looks grainy?

save a duplicate, restart computer, and see if the program corrects itself?

Hmm.. Regardless, I'm paranoid when it comes to saving files. So I have dupes of mostly everything out of habit. | |

whoops, firstly my mistake when I typed photoshop...old habits die hard I guess...lol, I meant to say lightroom. in any case I was able to finish the photo and export it. I just left dodging till last. it really seems to have been a graphical issue that only happened in the develop module as it exported just fine with the luminescence change intact.
