Yeah, Hirens has been around forever. Probably the second-most important utility for a repair guy after a recent copy of MalwareBytes.

Malwarebytes FTW

I've actually never bothered with Hirens, even though I use a ton of the software on there. I'm happy just knowing it exists and that I can download and burn it if I need to recover a PC (but I usually just swap in a cloned drive, I keep one for each work system I run. Windows repair disc + XXClone FTW).

I mostly use it for the memory and drive testers, occasionally stress-testing on a sketchy machine. It kicks *** for a shop-I can pull the HDD to image it but still run all the other diagnostics in the process.

was going to suggest that one too. we actually have a few copies of Hirens floating around the office, but i havent seen it ever needed to be used yet.

I never came across it before, so thought I would share. I have my own tools assembled in a nice directory I use for system diag, scan and recovery. But this was a nice collection all in one for someone.
