Who plays it? Great space RTS, a lot like the best 4X games without being tedious, and instead of turn based its real time, and executed perfectly. Also looks great and runs on many weaker PCs. You can get the complete Trinity pack on Steam for cheap, whole thing is about 1.2 GB. If you haven't played it and you like RTS, space games, awesome space battles, check it out, it's a lot of fun for LAN or direct IP multiplayer (yes you can play it without a legit copy... check the bay of pirates for that).

Edit: I've updated the thread title and pics for Rebellion, this game is the tits, and even better than the originals (it keeps all the great stuff they proved out and continues to improve further)

I played that one for a bit but I keep going back to Galactic Civilizations. Similar idea only way better. :p

Ohh god, I love this game. Bought it over a year and a half ago, worth every cent. Problem is the larger games take me over 10 hours to finish. I've never played multiplayer, but i'd be down if some of the MCB guys wanted to have a game.

I don't have any expansions, just the base game.

EDIT: I dunno about you two, but the Vasari are my favourite faction to play as.

How's it compare to Homeworld? That was always my favorite space RTS...

I meant to look into way back when it first came out but my machine at the time died and I forgot about it. I have played 4x games since MoOII so I need to look into it again

... Waiting for Homeworld 3. Since the original creators own the title once more we should be expecting this one day in the next couple years to be released. :)

Played it and it is the largest scale of an RTS I have ever seen. Games can take so long, which is both a good and a bad thing. I haven't played it multiplayer, and can't imagine spending the time to do so.

I love how the scope of the game changes as the game progresses. It goes from 2 frigates fighting to massive fleets. Only bad thing is that I can know whether i've won or lost after only half the game.

Only other thing I dont like is that enemy fleets run away after you blow their capital ship, no matter how big the remainder of the fleet is. Makes it too easy to defend, just concentrate on the capital ships.

Other than that, awesome game.

I have it and I really enjoyed it at first, but the lack of a campaign/storyline kind of made it fade pretty quickly for me. I'll have to try it again if I get a spare couple of hours this week.
