Hunt Humans as a Killer Shark In Indie Game Depth

(sorry, I can't quite get the video embedded in here, it's just beyond my ken today... so click the linky above to get the video, which is pretty cool)

Powered by Unreal Engine 3, Depth is an upcoming first-person competitive multiplayer game unlike anything else youíll find in its genre. The indie PC game, shown off earlier this month at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, allows players to battle enemy teams underwater as either a human diver or a 21-foot man-eating shark.

Depth is something of a game of hide-and-seek, in which a team of divers attempt to recover sunken treasure while a team of sharks try to devour them. The game features three human diver classes with various special abilities including stealth, attack and equipment specialist. But arguably the more interesting playable characters are the sharks: tiger, mako and great white.

Developer Depth Team hasnít set a release date for Depth, but it said that the game has progressed a lot over the last two years and that things will take time due to the small team size.

You had me at "you can hunt swimmers as a shark from a first-person perspective".

Though, watching the video and reading that they've been working on it for 2 years now, you'd hope it would look a little better than it does, or have some more gameplay options other than just the one they show us.
Want to improve your game? The best thing to buy is more paint and more field fees.

I can't dumb it down to your level because I'm scared of heights.

A shark is an animal that dies if it stops moving.

What a terrible idea, I hope they fail.

Another violent video game influencing kids, I guess we can expect a rash of school feeding frenzies.

Hopefully the graphics improve a bit... I'm playing through Bioshock, so I know that Unreal can do some pretty impressive water dynamics.
