Anybody play Saxophone here?

Just wondering. I myself play Alto-Sax in concert band. Anybody else with jazzy or other concert band instruments are welcome to say what they play as well.

I used to play Alto and Tenor sax, long time ago. Haven't played in a few years but I keep meaning to pick up another Alto sax and start playing again. Pretty sure I could bust out a jazzy rendition of Hot Cross Buns with my eyes closed.

Brass N Wood Fan
Alto/soprano saxophonist right here. I've been playing for almost 6 years, self taught. Been a member of the Burlington Teen Tour Band (google/youtube it) for 5.5 years, principal player for 3.5 years, section leader since jan, as well as a member of the BTTB's saxophone quartet for 1.5 years and the head of the quartet for the last year.

I'll see if I can find a video of the quartet playing for you guys to critique.

I used to play alto and baritone in concert, marching, and jazz bands and also in the pit orchestra when they needed someone. Haven't touched the damn thing in almost 10 years though, every now and again I almost pull it out of the closet to give it a go, then I remember I'm in an apartment now and my neighbors are already annoyed with me because of my loud-*** roommate lol...

Wow! Nice to see other people play the instrument. I only picked it up like a year and a half ago because playing a baritone was so damn boring. BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARG*27 bars of rests, repeat* Like the music just wasn't fun to play anymore...lol
