Yeah the 35mm runs a bit more... I saved countless pennies to get it.

Sell the baby and profit.
I'd love to see that low range but nothing on eBay tonight. I have some time to do some digging, but I figured I couldn't pass up on the camera for $340. No contested bids in the last 2 minutes either, I was so happy!

Ha ha ha, I am going through the closet tonight finding things to purge. My wife might notice the baby is missing, although the stuffed Yoda pillow we got tonight might easily fool her for a few days.

Yeah just bide your time. I doubt you're in a hurry for glass anyways. Start snapping pics and see where it takes you! Congrats on your purchase!

I took these photos with my 50 f1.8. Amazing lens for the price, great all around lens.

For a crop sensor camera, 35mm is a bit better for every day walk around shots in my opinion, but the 50 is still fantastic.

Very cool, thanks for examples. That's for sure next on the list, especially since it will be used for mostly indoor, artificial light type pics.

Little late on the convo here but I'll jump in anyway,

Personally I LOVE my T3, comes with everything I wanted in my first camera, I haven't really come across anything I don't like on the camera. The button placement is a little odd when you put your eye to the viewfinder though, I tend to click some buttons with the end of my nose from time to time (Maybe I just have a huge greek nose...lol)

The video is just amazing too, better than any video camera I've had in the past.

Overall it gets the job done above par for sure!

That's what I plan on, I should buy an extra battery and mem card so I can stay out in the backyard for a while
