I didn't need an adapter, just make sure you get the model with "EF" in the model name.

I would just stick with the right lens mount for your camera.

Yea the Megapixels aren't a bad thing but not a reason just to buy a camera. Again i was looking at a new/beginner DSLR and was looking between a T3/T2.i/D3100 - Played with all 3 and went with the T3 based on a few things. already have a few friends with nice canon glass so i can try out different lenses. Also had a Xti a few weeks before so was getting used to the Canon setup.
Now the t2.i is a better camera but the T3 was close in comparison for what i wanted. 12.2 megapixels VS 18. T3 still shoots 720p video if i need.

Anywhoo...im still new to DSLR's but i was talking with the guy at the store and its not the megapixels more the glass/photographer
