IMO Disco and funk are two pretty seperate things. Look at past Red Hot Chili Peppers albums (not the most recent one). I'd say thats pretty funky, but definitly not disco.

To me Disco and Funk are like House and Trance music. They're similar enough to be grouped together, but they're still two different things.
