I love looking for unsecured WiFi while driving around. I then look to see what I can pull off unsecured computers within the network. It is truly amazing what you come across from time to time.

Certainly is, I had a friend freak out oon me one time sitting on his couch with my laptop. He lost it when I pulled up his "secret" porn stash in front of everyone.

Ooops. Sorry dude, but when its unsecured and you try to label it to misdirect people pick a filename that is less interesting. That and using the hide folder option really just makes it easier to find lol.

Unless you've got a monstrous dictionary and a hell of a lot of processing power, it takes a little longer than 4 minutes. Hell, it takes that long just to do a proper sweep.

That said, I still have the passwords to every Wi-Fi in my building, and they're all WPA2.

Well maybe slightly exaggerated, but I've done it with someone else's program via DVD-R in under 20. That was with my hexacore overclocked and liquid cooled desktop i7 in my old gaming tower though.

My point was WPA is great to stop your neighbours stealing bandwidth, but nothing a router will give you is truly secure

I would like to take this time to thank my former neighbours for the use of their "secured" network they left named linksys. When I exceeded my bandwidth they were always there <3
