Hard drive question

ok guys need a little help. So i have a all in one gateway computer, piece of crap. the mother board has gone out on it twice, so it does not boot up. It has tons of pictures that I need to get off there. can i pull out the hard drive, plug into my laptop or imac to pull the pictures i want? how would i go about this, best/easiest way?
thanks

Easiest way is likely to buy an external hard drive enclosure if you only have a laptop or an imac. You will just stick it in the enclosure and make all the needed connections, then connected it as an external hard drive, and the systems should see it.

Seconded.

You'll just have to figure out if you have a 2.5" or a 3.5" in the computer.
