I saw this on the news last night. Apparently it takes internal soldering to unlock an iphone and it is not that easy. If it were easy you would be unlocking them and selling them on ebay for a pretty penny. |

I think the other methods required special equipment to override, or bypass the SIM. This one does not require anything special, besides the $5 Walmart solder iron. The only catch is that a mistake while soldering will likely render it useless, and with a voided warranty. I suspect in the next few months, Apple will see a TON of IPhones returns with bad solderin jobs, though the owner will probobly act ignorant "It just stopped working, and I don't know why....." nick
