70-200 f2.8 II Video Test

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YizY7b2M_e0

Just threw this together with some test footage I took. My first observation was that f2.8, handheld, with such a heavy lens is very difficult. Other than that, it's insanely sharp and detailed.

Not bad given you were shooting at 2.8, had moving subjects, and it looks like there was a breeze. I don't think I've ever shot video with my 70-200 II becuase of it's size.

At around 30 seconds you can see a little bug crawling on the stem....I didn't catch that before.

I want to try this style video out again with a monopod/tripod soon. Focusing is a breeze with the huge focus ring, but it's just so dang heavy.

nice, ya handheld its a heavy lens
even my f/4 is a bit much for handheld I could only imagine the f/2.8

would work really well with tri-pod
