Firefox help

While attempting to find a program to play a video I must have picked up a bad program. Either that or one of the Firefox addons is giving me trouble. In the area under the toolbar where the web page header, and where the MCB navagation links are displayed, I am unable to select any of the links. Links further down the page are fine but I am unable to select anything in thBtop 2-3 inches of the web page. It is effecting other pages as well as MCB. Where would I look to find the offending program? I know that many of the downloads attempt to load new toolbars and while I usually say no a few have gotten in. While I have deleated all of them that I can find, I know one "Babylon search" or something like that has managed to find it's way in and hide from me. This problem seems limited to Firefox at at the moment as the big blue E works fine. I could delete Firefox and start over but I am not sure that will help.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have been a Mozilla user from the days of rec.sport.paintball, I think. There is another browser?
