PC Build Troubleshoot

So I received all my parts for my new PC last night, got prepped, did the build and some mild cable management and went to power up to check the BIOS before installing the OS. All systems seem ok, fans spin, optical drive responds, HD is spinning yet there's no output to the monitor. I had originally connected the monitor cable to the video card but realized it probably wouldn't work yet so I switched the connection to the onboard video and still nothing.

So I checked a few web sites but couldn't find anything with the same issue. I've done the following so far with no success:

1. Tried multiple monitors and monitor cables
2. Removed the video card and powered back up
3. Removed the RAM and powered back up

And that's where I'm stuck. I'd like to think the mobo isn't DOA but I'm not sure what else to try. Has anyone run into this issue with a build before?

Just gonna throw some ideas out there, I'm no expert on this but I'll try

Is the power supply providing enough power? Is anything shorting out against the case?

650 watt PSU and according to PCPartsPicker.com (if that's worth anything ) this was more power than was needed.

I've moved the cables around but I'm no electrical expert so I'm not sure what would cause a short

Be sure to check the seating of the CPU and Memory, either of those can cause the bios to go wonky.

If there's a "clear cmos" jumper / button on the board, I'd try that.

After that, I'd get a power supply tester and a motherboard tester and use them. They can be helpful to have as a PC builder in any case.

Good luck and I hope you share what the eventual solution was.

Thanks for the help! Total noob here I hadn't connected all the PSU cables to the mobo My last build didn't have anything other than a 24 pin connector so I didn't even notice the two, four pin connectors. Windows is installing as we speak!

Thanks man!

Here's the goods...

Intel I3-3220 Ivy Bridge 3.3ghz
ASRock H77M mobo
G.Skill Ripjaw 8GB PC3 12800
eVGA GeForce GTX 650 1GB
WD Caviar Blue 500gb SATA III
CoolerMaster HAF 912 Tower
Raidmax Hybrid 650w PSU
Samsung optical drive
Windows 7 64 bit

And I added two new 120mm fans to the case. I used PcPartsPicker.com to get the parts from three places and ended up spending a total of $658 shipped so I was quite happy with that.
