Went for a drive....

These are my favorites from about 130 shots I took while going for a drive in Montour and Jerusalem Valley, Idaho.

This one was in Montour. Nice spot for a duck blind.

Just outside of Montour valley. Weekly Saturday hawk meeting.

Taken along the highway between the towns Emmett and Horseshoe Bend. Old magma cone that exploded millions of years ago.

In Jerusalem Valley.

Also in Jerusalem Valley.

Lastly, some cattails in Montour.

Edit, almost forgot:

In Jerusalem Valley:

You've got some good landscape wherever you are, it's all flat here in Florida. You should get a wide angle and do some research on the rule of thirds and landscape photography. Jackass creek is funny.

Southern half of Idaho.

I have done research on the rule of thirds--I've taken a couple semesters of photography classes.

For anyone wondering, I was shooting with a Nikon D90 with a AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm lens.

The rule of thirds is a suggestion. A lot of people greatly overuse it. I enjoyed your pictures a lot Dave, thanks for sharing!
