Downloads slowing to a crawl

Anyone have any idea why my downloads would be slowing down to about 4kb/s? It happens in all browsers. Im thinking it might be my modem but i'm not sure. It's not the router and it's not the laptop settings.

I dont have this problem when using a torrent client.

My connection is very fast.

hmm, maybe performance anxiety? that 400 Mbit connection is a lot for a browser to live up to

I can simultaneously download 10 youtube vids @ 3+mbs each through my DL manager but anything through a browser is like 4k/s

downloading youtube videos with a download mngr is pretty interesting. its go from 4k/s then spike to 1mb/s for 20 seconds then drop to 200k/s for a minute... almost like its a torrent file that uses seeders.

you need to check your modem. also need to do speed test from your internet provider. they will tell you if your having any issue. also when was last time you ran virus and malware check on computer. also when was last time you Defrag and did disk clean up. both are most since will improve how fast computer runs.
