Best Call of Duty Game?

Out of the series, what's your favorite?

I just bought COD 4: Modern Warfare and I'm having a fun time playing it. I've only played two of the games, this being my second go around at one of these and the other being Black Ops with my cousin.

So, whats your favorite? Other than these games I haven't really found an FPS that I cared for since goldeneye, and that's pretty old

Have you played the first? If not, play it. That and the United Offensive expansion are fantastic.

Next to that, MW2 and MW3 are my other two favourites. I dont really like the others that much.

Call Of Duty World At War was the best imo.

Simple yet very rewarding.. But that game is dead with hardly any hardcore following on any online games.

FPS wise Metal of Honor is one heck of a game. If you make it past the steep learning curve.

Splitscreen/campaign was awesome, the online was kinda meh though. There was a point where pretty much every game I played there was someone outside the map with like 100 kills, or people spamming the "n00b tube" (or "pr0 pipe", depending on what side of the argument ), and it was pretty much guarenteed to have kids calling you gay or a fag or whatever.

It was good if you stuck with the campaign. The glitchers in MP absolutely ruined that game.

Without getting nostalgic I'll stick with the modern games and say my favorite was the original Modern Warfare. COD4 beat it's sequels by a long shot.

Favorite had been black ops so far, but the original was great too. I don't like mw2 or mw3 really.

2 and 4. The series suffered a brain injury after that and was never quite the same.

I've played every PC CoD except MW3 and BO2 (Waiting for them to get cheaper, can't justify $59.99 for them any more), and here's my list. Mind you, even the worst CoD is better than 95% of games out there-they're all worth playing.

1: Call of Duty
2: United Offensive
3: Modern Warfare
4: World at War
5: Black Ops
6: Call of Duty 2
7: Modern Warfare 2

Granted, I've only really gotten into the SP-I played multiplayer a bit, but I've always preferred Battlefield. For me, things started to go sideways when they started moving from 'realistic fantasy' to 'DIY action movie', as far as the plot went. Except for CoD2, which I just couldn't get into.

World at war to me was the most enjoyable, MW and Black ops next. I'm still deciding about BO2. MW2 was abysmal.
