Anyone familiar with serch engine optimization?
I am contamplating getting into the online retail store business and am wondering if seo is difficult to do on my own or if I should pay for it. If I pay for it anyone know what I am looking at price wise?

I can't help you on what it costs to pay someone, but I run a couple of websites with decent search rankings. Some things are under your control such as: keywords, key words, and keywords. Others are not, sites linking in is important in search ranking, and that often just comes with time.
It's really that simple, lather your page in the words that matter. Sitemaps are also a must. Contact bloggers and ask about link exchanges.

I ran a very successful gaming blog for awhile. I made decent revenue with Adsense and the like. Not enough to support myself though. I lost interest after about two years. Blog is still up and gets decent traffic due to quality SEO. I recommend heading down to your local Barnes and Noble and spending some time reading up. SEO isn't hard, but proper SEO requires lots of work and interaction with others who have successful sites in your niche market.
