300 DOS games - FREE!

I haven't been able to go to the site itself, because the government won't let me on my work computer (your tax dollars in action! or should I say "inaction"), but got this from a reliable source - RGB Classic Games. It's apparently 300 DOS abandonware titles that you can play in your browser.

Original source found here.

Legal note reminder (For anyone playing at work and such, assuming they're on breaks) that "Abandoned Ware" is NOT public domain, and you are still violating copyright. Just because no one seems to care that you do, doesn't make it legal.

In many work places this may be grounds for dismissal, depending on workplace policy on copyright violations.

One of my former classmates got hit with something like that for his last job, and a manager who didn't like him used it to get him out of the company. Be wary of petty men in positions of moderate power.

Thanks for the warning, i'll be sure to play those at home

And totally agree on that last part, gotta love the people who are over a handfull of people and think it's their job to be a dick and uphold the "company's views" when they themself are the worst for breaking them.

Now that I'm finally able to look at the site, I too am suddenly leery of some of this. I see the Commander Keen series in here, which was iD Software's big money maker before Doom and Quake. And they've got the first two Warcraft games, which are Blizzard games that while they're not being actively sold, the third of the series is and so is this little MMO based on it, World of Warcraft. And I know the Duke Nukem games are being sold on Good Old Games, but they're on here.

I'm not going to take down the link as there look to be honest abandonware titles on here, but be warned that some of them may rise up to bite you. Plus, the way they've set up the site, it's running like utter ****. Here I am at 6am and can't get hardly any of it to respond, so it's built pretty poorly. It looks like they're trying to host everything on one server instead of putting the load across multiple servers.
