only issue i see with this. your going to get people like they do Diablo III. where people will try to hack into some account and take it over to steal there items and take there money from them. so look's like we might have another problem like that again.

yes I can see that as an issue as well. valve seems to have a pretty great handle on most everything it does. I'm sure it's been well thought-out. also I'm not sure that anything will sell for very much money but time will tell.

if regular trading is any indication, valve's bigger problem is whiny kids with buyer's remorse who didn't understand what it really means to accept a trade.

Oh, TF2 already had that problem, only with thousands of dollars, a couple years back there was a huge backlash into the community over using real world money to buy unusuals and buds, and other high end things. Some kid spent $3000 (wish I was joking) on a Searing Plasma Team Captain, and his parents almost killed him, I never heard what happened after his parents found out though
