Does anyone have any ideas, reviews, or experience with any Protax stuff?

PROTAX CONSUMER ELECTRONIC

It looks like it is a middle ground between a consumer video camera, and a pro-sumer video camera. It has the ability to swap lenses (I imagine it's only propriety mount, not a Canon or the like), with some cool features like the wi-fi and back LCD moves to just about any angle, but with some limits like no hot shoe for a microphone or light, can't see anything about more advance settings (Other than like five white balance settings), or much about the "off side" of the camera. But at a price of less than $250, I am wondering if it work around the same as the big name brand video cameras that sell for $800-$1000.

I'm on a tablet right now, and their website is being funky. Are you sure the one you're talking about has the option to swap lenses, as the specs showing on the page state fixed.

Personally I would be highly tempted to find a video body that supports Nikon's line of slr lenses, simply because of how cheap and effective some of their old primes can be. (But I'll most likely stick with my Canon SLR gear.)

It may be your tablet. When I click the page, it shows me three views of the camera, one with the 16X telephoto lens, then one with the normal lens and the "Sunlight Rejection Filter", and then a third with the wide angle lens.

Down the page, it actually shows you the body with a flow chart like thing that breaks into four things, one for each lens, plus one for the main lens with the "Sunlight Rejection Filter".

I have a "Sunlight Rejection Filter" right here, it's called a lens cap.

This site and its products look sketchy as hell.
