ARMA II Free = Garbage?

Has anyone else played this?

Never in my life have I played an FPS with worse controls, animations, AI, and overall gameplay.

Everyone talks about Operation Arrowhead being SOOO much better, but how so? Can anyone tell me if OA is better, and how?

Or even better, how I could make ArmA II Free actually tolerable?

If you don't like the controls, you won't like OA either. It takes some getting used to. Not much else to do.

It's not the controls so much as how "unrefined" (for lack of a better word) the game feels.

The free game is basically the same thing, although I think it does have lower resolution textures, so the full game might look better.

It's hard to refine a game that covers dozens of square kilometers. Take a look at a few videos and see if it's the same as the demo, but I didn't notice very much difference.

If you love corridor shooters it's never going to be the game for you. For me it's the mods that make the game, but that will never change the interaction or animations.
