Looking for a solid RPG for the summer.

It doesn't matter which platform, if you have a suggestion i would love to hear it.

Dragon Quest VIII on PS2. Easily my favorite RPG. I just picked it up again and I can hardly put it down.

Xenoblade for Wii, I've yet to play it, but apparently it's one of the best games in the platform.

Legend of Dragoon, Lunar SSC, and FF7 on PS1 would be my suggestions

legend of dragoon on play station? oh hell yes.

I used to play Star Ocean: Til The End of Time A LOT.

But easily, my favorite game of all time is probably Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

Oh the nostalgia.

If you want up-to-date RPGs, Torchlight 2 is pretty nice. I got Bastion for a few bucks off humble bundle, don't think its still available there but still great. I'd definitely look for Kingdoms of Amalur as well, a very very fun action RPG with real-time combat and a pretty open class-based skill system that lets you mix & match..

If you like DQ VIII, get Ni No Kuni for PS3, it's a spirtual successor to it and it's GREAT. Think I put about 60 hours into it, and I still haven't done everything.

Final Fantasy Tactics for PS1 is AWESOME, one of the few games you can actually lose and have to restart your whole game if you aren't leveled up enough.

Any of the Operation Rainfall game for Wii are great. Xenoblade, Last Story and Pandora's tower. Xenoblade is one of the longest games I've ever played haha, I'm at about 50 hours, and I think I'm MAYBE half-way?

Skyrim is always a good choice, especially on PC

Rogue Galaxy on PS2 was a great little overlooked RPG, tons of fun and a great setting.

Skies of Arcadia for Dreamcast/Gamecube is one of my all time favorites, the normal combat is pretty good, but you have these awesome ship battles that are one of the most fun battle systems EVER. Pick it up for the Gamecube if you can, comes with some extra quests and stuff.

I'll have to try it if I ever get a PS3. I looked it up on Google images and there is this little red dude that reminds me of Jimbei from One Piece. lol.

Final Fantasy IX is my favorite ever FF game. Final Fantasy Tactics is 2nd. Just used multiple save files for FF Tactics to avoid saving in an area that can **** you at a later time if you aren't sufficiently leveled. Both games had a superb story. PS1 games. On PS Store

Disgaea or Ps2/PSP is a lot like FF Tactics, but has more open gameplay. Less serious story, very funny dialogue.

Dragon Quest V for the Nintendo DS was my favorite Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior game ever. Avoid DQIX

Chrono Trigger for the SNES is a classic. Many people might lace it in their top 10 all time. Can get on an emulator I suppose.

Neverwinter Nights, and only $10. It should take you roughly all summer and part of the fall to finish every part of that one.
