new game on Steam, Gunpoint

One of the writers for PC Gamer magazine (the UK edition, I think) made this interesting little game called Gunpoint, and it's going live today on Steam. It's a bit of a puzzle/action platformer, with cyberpunk themes and a hacking element. They've got a demo up you can play right now, and if you've got 15 minutes, it's definitely worth it.

Now, if you like it, don't buy it direct from Steam, go to the creator's website, and buy it direct from him. It's the same price, you'll get a Steam key code, and the producer will get more from the purchase.

Also: please heed the developers request: Buy on steam, because the more it sells there, the more sales he will continue to get in the future (because Steam sells games very well when they are popular there).

Been playing the crap out of it all day, it's got some real brain teasers in it - go here, lock this guy in here, but not before he trips this motion detector to open that door there, and then attract him later down the stairs with an alarm pull to trip this motion detector there. *whew!* Plus, it looks like the story line forks depending on what missions you accept and what responses (though not all) you choose during your chats with employers. The lack of weapons and sudden death whenever anybody sees you is also a big departure for my normal problem resolution method in videogames (hold down the trigger button until they all stop twitching).
