people make the loss of 10 friends sharing copy a big deal, they don't realize you can just give them the disc now....

I feel like feedback from customers wasn't the only reason they pulled the plug on those ideas. Gamestop stood to lose at least 25% of its entire franchise's market if xbox one had been released with those features. Granted I guarantee it was behind closed doors, but Gamestop definitely played a few of there cards to make this happen too.

netflix and other game rentals would probably lose out too.

My friend put up an interesting quote on facebook today in relation to this subject.

To quote one of the top comments:"this is not just about being able to play games, it's about a company that was trying to control your freedom as a consumer. Would you still vote for a president who was in favor of slavery and suddenly changed his mind afraid of loosing popularity?"

Microsoft royally screwed up and turned a lot of people off, myself included. If I do purchase one of the next gen consoles its going to be a PS4. I've been a die hard 360 guy since its release but with all this recent stuff I think I'll avoid the XBone for a while, maybe I'll pick one up off of craigslist a few months after a release.

I knew it was going to happen.

I loved my 360 way more than ps3, but looks like i'll still be going ps4, hopefully they to some good stuff to their multiplayer experience, atleast let us do party rooms out of games and the such.

I wasn't going to buy one based on the 24hr check-in, and the other draconian limitations they wanted to implement. Based on pricing, I may grab one now - I use my 360 more than the PS3 as of right now, going to buy the PS4 for sure.

Microsoft may have shot themself in the foot for this reason. So many people i know, including myself use and love the 360 over the ps3, but are still buying a ps4 still even though all teh bad parts of xbone are being changed.
