I have mixed feelings on Brave New World. I like the how they implemented trade routes and I like the new civs, but that's about it. I don't like how a player pretty much has to have trade routes to make any decent money, and I really don't like the whole tourism thing much at all. Tourism either makes a culture victory either way too easy, or way too hard. I won a standard length match once on turn 257 from a culture victory.

I can't find any games that I want. Maybe badlands II, but that's about it.

I suppose you could look at it that way

Before BNW I could sometimes get away with doing things by myself and not bothering with other civs. I once had a match where I won a science victory after meeting three of eight civs. The first one I met was during the late 1800's AD.

Back to BNW, I forgot about it in the first post of mine, but I love the World Congress. If you play it a certain way, it's possible to get over 1500 culture per turn on standard speed. It's nice getting new social policies every few turns

I also like how they changed the social policies overall. I feel like now there's a little more reward for adopting a wide variety of social policies. Commerce being expanded into two policy trees, being able to adopt piety and rationalism at the same time, adding aesthetics, and completely redoing the Freedom/Order/Autocracy trees were all good ideas in my opinion.

Going for a conquest victory as Venice is rather amusing

Picked up Torchlight II for $5... The first one was a great Diablo clone, so I have been anxious to try part II.

oh, nvm. it showed 25% as the flash sale price because steam didn't update it at the same time as the flash sale timer on its front page. it showed up as a 25% off flash sale so i was like wtf.

Seems the sales have hit my wallet fairly light this year. One day left of the sale and I've only bought 2 games...that's not to say they wont extend it another few days and I'll buy more crap >.>
